Games Workshop retailer with ~100k Magic singles, D&D campaigns and supplies, Citadel paints, board games. Thursday is their Magic event night — the best-attended room you'll walk into all day. Two minutes from stop #1, so take both.
Skipped in Jackson: Comics Universe (back issues only, closes at 5) and E-Gamers Cafe (PC/console lounge, not a tabletop retailer).

Full-line hobby game store on the east edge of Nashville — you hit it before the downtown mess and it costs you about ten minutes total. The single most efficient Nashville-metro stop.
Board games, Magic, Pokémon, hobby supplies and a dedicated event space. Sits right where I-40 hands you off to I-24, and it's open latest of anything in Nashville — a good catch-all if you run behind schedule.
400+ game library, on-site game coaches, retail shop, coffee and beer. Not a D&D shop exactly, but it's the one venue on the route where a WinterCon flyer sits in front of people who play games with strangers for fun — which is the whole pitch. Also your best coffee stop.
Their Hillsboro Village retail store is a separate location with short, inconsistent hours (~11–4 Thu) and a 10-min detour. Skip it; take the cafe.
Skipped: Comix City Too in Madison — good store (board games, 40K, HeroClix, open gaming) but it's 15–20 min north off I-65, the wrong side of Nashville entirely.
Current comics, Warhammer 40K, Magic, board games, toys, and regular gaming nights. Murfreesboro is MTSU territory — a college town with a gaming crowd that will happily drive two hours for a con. Worth more than a flyer here; ask about a poster.

Northgate Mall is under active redevelopment planning in 2026; the store is open now but its long-term address may change.
Board games, D&D books, Warhammer, miniatures, TCGs, and a play space with several tables. Community-minded — they run a Thursday board game night off-site at Odd Story Brewing, 6–8 p.m., which may be a better place to catch them than the shop.
Their own site says Mon–Sat 12–6; every third-party listing says afternoons till 8 or 10. The hours genuinely conflict — phone them before you drive out.
An official Games Workshop store. Corporate stores are usually stricter about third-party flyers than independents, but the store manager runs local painting and intro games and is exactly the kind of person who knows twenty potential DMs.

Skipped in Chattanooga: both Cranks Trading locations (Lee Hwy and Ooltewah) are sports- and TCG-singles only — no RPG, no miniatures, wrong crowd. CM Games on E Brainerd Rd is permanently closed.
Twenty-five years in business and a serious Games Workshop retailer — 40K, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, Necromunda, Horus Heresy, LotR, Star Wars Legion, plus board games and comics. Daily community game nights. The most established gaming community within an hour of Chattanooga.
TCG singles and sealed, board games, RPG product, will special-order, and a big free play space they keep open 24/7 as a community room. Whatever hour you end up with, this one is open — genuinely useful as a fallback if the day runs long.
Sources disagree on whether it's true 24/7 or 9:30 a.m.–3 a.m.; either way it outlasts everything else on this list. They also have a Cleveland, TN location at 1995 Keith St (unverified).
10,000 sq ft — card games, comics new and vintage, collectibles, dice, board games, an arcade room and tabletop play space. Only makes sense if you're continuing toward Atlanta, but it's a big room with a big mailing list.
Two things worth asking every owner, beyond "can I leave these": would you run or sponsor a table at WinterCon, and who else around here should I be talking to. The second question is how you find the stores that never show up in a search.
Not on this route, but on your list: One Frequency Games in Martin (your co-host priority — listed at 731-326-7440, but the address and hours couldn't be confirmed online and one source geotags it in South Fulton; worth a call) and Dragons and Mages at 218 S 1st St, Union City, 731-599-9812 — 30 minutes north of Martin, the opposite direction. Both are hometown visits, not road-trip stops.
